LIONS ON THE RUN

Lions on the Run is Ida Toninato’s boldest solo work to date — a sensuous, dreamlike electronic project born from a desire for radical inner transformation. Premiered at SAT’s immersive dome series Substrat (2024), the piece fuses synthetic textures, obsessive rhythms, and raw breaths into a soundscape of beauty, tension, and power. In this project, Toninato’s voice and baritone saxophone entwine like twin forces, tracing a spectrum from whispering heights to cavernous lows — a full-bodied sonic terrain shaped by breath, low roars, and resonance. Known for her unique blend of explosiveness and vulnerability, she delivers music that is both physically charged and emotionally disarming. Lions on the Run marks a new chapter in her evolution — one where immersive design, visceral sound, and artistic control converge with unapologetic force.
